EDGEWOOD STUDENTS LIVE OUT THE EHS DOMINICAN CATHOLIC MISSION AND VALUES IN MANY WAYS.
At Edgewood we:
- Require a Religious Studies course each semester
- Offer daily prayer over the p.a. system
- Celebrate school-wide liturgies and prayer services on a regular basis
- Study the Sinsinawa Dominican Mission and Values
- Require one hundred hours of service for graduation
- Celebrate Catholic Schools Week with school-wide activities
- Require yearly retreats
Religious Studies
- Requires students to take one course each semester
- Provides opportunities for prayer within each course
- Implements a service component in each course
- Requires these four courses: Understanding Catholic Christianity, Hebrew Scriptures, Christian Scriptures and Morality
- Offers seven electives from which students choose three

Service
- 100 hours of service are required for graduation
- Service performed both inside and outside of the Edgewood community, at least half must be outside of EHS
- Freshmen give a minimum 10 hours, upperclassmen a minimum 30 hours/year
- All participate in the annual Edgewood in the Community service day and a junior service retreat
- By graduation, many students have contributed 200+ hours

Campus Ministry
- Plans regular all-school liturgies and prayer services
- Plans regular Eucharistic Celebrations in the Absence of a Priest
- Operates our Service Program
- Plans and carries out retreats
- Offers an optional C.R.O.S.S. retreat to juniors and seniors
