We encourage students to seek out service opportunities as part of the learning process. For students who would like help finding service ideas and opportunities, they are listed on the bulletin board outside Room 208. Some opportunities are also read over the p.a. during morning announcements in homeroom. Additional help is always available from Campus Ministry faculty, also in Room 208.
- 100 Hours of community service are required to graduate. (Fewer hours are required for transfer students based on their enrollment date.)
- Students serve in two ways:
1) Community Service:
Some examples are working at food banks, tutoring, summer camp counseling,
helping with church functions, hospital volunteering, serving meals
to the needy, and visiting the elderly.
Please note: Students must serve at least 50 of their 100 hours in this way.
2) Service within EHS: Examples are ushering at performances, assisting at sporting events or in the general office, and serving at the auction or other events.
