- Hours: School starts at 7:50 a.m. and ends at 3:20 p.m.
- Modular schedule: Edgewood operates on a nine-module daily schedule. Each module, or "mod," is 45-minutes long.
- Number of courses:
A student typically has 7 or 8 courses in a semester, allowing for 1 or 2 free mods per day.
- Course section size: Sections average about 19 students per class.
- Lunch: Lunch is served over three mods so all students can find time to eat. Many students love the food -- really!
- Free mods: Free mods may be spent in a number of places such as study hall, guided study through Edgewood's Academic Success Program (ASP), the Library, the Writing Lab or the Learning Resource Center, if assigned there. Upperclassmen may spend free mods in the Commons (cafeteria).
- Edgewood is a closed campus: Students stay on campus throughout the day unless they have permission to leave. Upperclassmen (not freshmen) may obtain permission from their
parents to leave after their last class.
